Accessibility

Standards compliance
Current Government legislation has made it law for all websites to offer a level of accessibility to people with disabilities, as part of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA). The Childcare Registration Wizard is designed with accessibility in mind and follows the accessibility guidelines published by W3C, viewable by clicking this link: www.w3.org/TR/WCAG10/. As a minimum this website conforms to WAI Level "A" Priority 1 Accessibility Level.

The Childcare Registration Wizard has been designed so that the display options you choose in your browser or operating system will overwrite our settings. In this way you can increase the text size, change colours, or make other changes to the way our website looks. To change the text size in most web browsers, simply hold down the ‘Control’ key (sometimes labelled ‘Ctrl’), or the Command key on a Mac, and press the '+' key. To learn how to make changes to the way the Internet is displayed on your computer, visit the BBC’s My Web My Way website.

Technical issues
If you are experiencing technical difficulties, try one of more of the following options as a first step in the troubleshooting process:
o    If you are using one of the questionnaires, before pressing the ‘next’ button check that you have selected an option on the page by clicking in a relevant button; or
o    Try the ‘refresh’ button in the top toolbar of your web browser; or
o    Use the ‘back’ button (either at the bottom of the page or in the top toolbar of your web browser) to return to the previous page; or
o    Try closing your web browser and opening it again; or
o    Try shutting down your computer completely and then restarting it.

In many cases one of these actions will remedy the problem.

To report technical issues, please contact us by emailing info@4Children.org.uk and detailing the problem. A member of the team will respond to your query as soon as possible. Alternatively, call 020 7512 2100.
